Replace A 1995 Ford Contour 2 Cooling Fan Relay

The Ford Contour was the halfway entry between the Taurus and the Convoy from the 1995 wound up the 2000 Industry caducity. The 1995 mannequin year came in three trim levels: GL, LX and SE. The GL and LX representation came fitted with a 2.0-liter engine that produced 125 horsepower. A cooling fan helped administer the temperature of the engine. This fan used a relay to switch the electric fan Engine on and off, as needed. When this relay fails, one of two matters happens: The fan either constantly runs, or it never runs. Replacing the cooling fan relay on the 1995 Border 2.0-liter does not wish yet mechanical enlightenment to intact.


3. Line the prongs on the new relay up with the receptacle in the power distribution block and press the relay into the receptacle.4.


Heed that the bent distribution block has two halves: a front one and a rear one.


2. Place the cooling fan relay -- the relay in the top corner of the front half of the power distribution block. Grab the relay and pull it upward with a slight wiggling motion to remove it.


Instructions

1. Unlocked the Line's under-hood power distribution block -- the inklike box on the far Chauffeur's side of the engine compartment -- by urgent the locking tabs and pulling the lid off.


Set the lid on top of the junction block and press down until the tabs click into place.
