Change A Maxima O2 Sensor

When your "Overhaul Engine Soon" lambent illuminates in your Nissan Maxima, it may be chronology to convert your Oxygen sensor. Oxygen sensors are generally first-class for approximately 100,000 miles, on the other hand can fail sooner. The Oxygen sensor's undertaking is to manage the immensity of O2 in your fuel. It pumps in augmented or less O2 into the lines as needed and regulates your Gauze milage. When it fails, your Maxima may escape poorly.


Instructions


1. Fix the Oxygen sensor on your pre-catalytic converter. Reattach the large air intake pipe back to the rear turbo and air box. Reattach the small air pipes to the blow off valves and air box.


Spray some WD-40 on the old O2 sensor for easier removal. Use the wrench to remove the old O2 sensor. Unplug its wires from the stock sensor wire harness.


3. Apply a small amount of the anti-seize paste to the new O2 sensor's threads. This will help make the next removal easier. Be careful not to receive any of the paste on the sensor because it could cause it to fail or work improperly.


4. Attach the new sensor's wires into the stock sensor wiring harness. Screw in the sensor and use the wrench to fully tighten it so it can not be loosened by hand.


5. You Testament demand to remove the doozer air intake tube by ability from the air box and from the rear turbo. Remove the two small air pipes from the air box and from the blow off valves. This will give you access to the O2 sensor.2.
