Replacing the fuel lines can deliver recent get-up-and-go to an exhausted weedeater.
Reach into the fuel tank with needle-nose pliers and grip the fuel filter. Pull the fuel filter up and away from the fuel line and remove it from the tank. Pull the fuel line and the larger fuel return line free from the bottom of the fuel tank. Provided your FeatherLite weedeater isn't running properly, and you suspect a fuel box, the fuel lines are cheap and manifest to interchange and may be a favorable apartment to begin troubleshooting.
Instructions
1. Remove the cap from the fuel container of the FeatherLite weedeater. Pour any remaining gasoline into an approved container.
2.A FeatherLite weedeater relies on a slender, gas-powered engine to supply competence to the cutting intellect. The fuel lines feeding the engine can eventually be damaged due to vibration, heat or accidents. They can and change into clogged due to impurities in the petrol.
3. Remove the two screws holding the air filter cover in place. Remove the air filter cover and air filter and set aside. Remove the two screws holding the air intake assembly to the carburetor. Remove the air intake assembly and set aside.
4. Pull the fuel line and fuel return line free from the barbed connectors on the carburetor or fuel primer assembly located below the carburetor.
5. Slide the end of the fuel line and the return line onto the barbed connectors on the carburetor or primer assembly. Place the air intake assembly on the carburetor, insert the screws and tighten them until they're snug. Place the air filter back in the assembly, place the air filter cover over the filter, insert the screws and tighten them until they are snug.
6. Push the fuel return line into the larger hole in the fuel tank. Push the fuel line into the smaller hole until it extends 1 inch into the tank. Push the fuel filter into the end of the fuel line. Pull the fuel line, while pushing on the filter, until the filter is flush with the bottom of the tank. Refill the tank with gasoline and test the FeatherLite weedeater for proper operation.
