Brake rotors
The braking action on a Cadillac is hydraulic in disposition, with the brake calipers acting as a hydraulic piston, squeezing the pads onto the rotors. Over period, all hydraulic seals can wear outside, including the ones in a brake operation. The easiest habit to set the botheration is to remove the calipers and get them rebuilt, or honest buy cutting edge ones. In this circumstances, the project vehicle is a 1996 Cadillac Deville, on the other hand the method is analogous for other vehicles further.
Unbolt the brake caliper from the front suspension using the ratchet, then take the caliper off of the rotor and the caliper mounting bracket.
Make sure the stands are locked and safe prior to removing the wheels. Take off the wheels using the tire iron, then install two lugs on the wheel studs to keep the brake disc in place.
2. Install the brake clamps onto the rubber brake hose to keep excess brake fluid from leaking out of the vehicle. Then unbolt the brake line from the brake caliper using an open-end wrench.
