Install The Oxygen Sensor Inside A 2000 Toyota Camry

Instructions


1. Elevate the rear of your 2000 Camry with a jack. Foothold the rear of the van with a fix of jack stands placed under the frame.

3. Remove the oxygen sensor from the exhaust pipe by turning it counterclockwise with an oxygen sensor socket and ratchet. Discard the old sensor. Locate the oxygen sensor along the exhaust system, near the catalytic converter. Follow the wires from the top of the oxygen sensor to the electrical connector on the Camry's wiring harness. Release the locking tab on the connector and separate the two halves.


Tighten the new oxygen sensor to 32 pound-feet of torque using a torque wrench. Connect the wiring from the new oxygen sensor to the connector on the Camry's wiring harness. Be sure to press the connectors together until they lock.


5. Raise the rear of the car off the jack stands with a jack. Remove the jack stands from under the rear of the car and lower the car to the ground.
