Use A Depth Finder To Trolling Motor

Glad eye on any bass boat and you'll treasure trove there is a front-mounted Profundity finder. This Profundity finder is fix up to scan the backside under the trolling Engine. It does this on account of the transducer that scans the backside is attached to the trolling motor. Mounting the transducer on the trolling motor is easy. It requires only a clamp and a screwdriver.

Instructions

1. Choose the location to mount your depth finder. This should be an area easily seen by the trolling motor operator. Mount the depth finder securely with screws to the deck or upper cap. Run the power and ground wires to a 12-volt power source or the boat battery.

4. Fasten the transducer cable to the trolling motor shaft with nylon wire ties. If the trolling motor is adjustable for depth, set it to the most extended position before fastening the cable to the shaft.

Use the large hose clamp to secure the bracket to the trolling motor. Make sure it is mounted straight. It should "look" straight down when the trolling motor is propelling the boat.

2. Locate the transducer in its bracket on the bottom of the trolling motor. It should be mounted behind the fin, which helps protect the transducer and keep it where it belongs.3.

5. Plug the cable into the depth finder to finish the installation.
