Remove a door panel from a Buick LeSabre.
Buick LeSabre is a General Motors full-size car that was produced from 1959 through 2005. Although the LeSabre models have changed over the years, the basics of maintaining and repairing the car have not. If you want to change the car window or the parts of the window mechanism on your Buick LeSabre, you must first remove the door panel.
Instructions
1. Park the car safely positioned on level ground. Take the key out of the ignition.
2. Open the door from which you want to remove the door panel.
3. There are hidden screws behind the door handle, inside the pocket and at the bottom of the panel. Make sure to pull out all the screws. Save all the screws and store them in a safe place. You will need these screws again when you reinstall the door panel.
5. Remove the screws on the door panel using a flat head screwdriver. The number of screws that hold the door panel depends on the model of your LeSabre. Take off the small, v-shaped piece of plastic covering the area where the outside mirror is mounted using a flat head screwdriver.4. Remove the screws holding the armrest with a screwdriver. Pry the plastic cover of the door handle using the same screwdriver, and remove the cover of the door handle.
6. Lift the cover of the window and door lock with a screwdriver and gently pry it off. Pull the wires from behind the covers. Pull out the wire connections from the speaker to disconnect them.
7. Pull the panel away from the car door slowly, starting from the bottom of the panel. Reach behind the panel and pop out the two plastic snap clips that connect the door handle to a metal rod. Remove the metal rod, then the whole door panel.
