Ford 351 Stock Engine Specifications

Ford prepared four contradistinctive types of 351 engines from 1969 to 1973. Most of the specifications for these engines are the identical, although a unusual changes were trumped-up. All of the 351 engines had eight cylinders and overhead-valve configurations. Their displacements were again the corresponding, at 351 cubic inches or 5.2 litres.


The manifold on the 1971 351R was trumped-up of aluminium. The intakes on all the 351 engines, apart from the 351H, were 2.185 to 2.195 inches in breadth. The intake on the 351H was 1.9025 to 1.9175 inches in breadth.



Power and Torque


The Ford 351C and 351W had 300 horsepower at 5,400 rpm and a maximum torque evaluating of 380 ft.-lb. at 3,400 rpm. The Ford 351H had a maximum torque evaluating of 355 ft.-lb. at 2,600 rpm and 250 horsepower at 4,600 rpm in 1969 and 1970, and 177 horsepower from 1971 to 1973. The 1971 351R had a maximum torque rating of 370 ft.-lb. at 4,000 rpm and 330 horsepower at 5,400 rpm. The 1972 imitation had a maximum torque ranking of 275 ft.-lb. at 6,000 rpm and 275 horsepower at 6,000 rpm.


Intake and Exhaust


The intake manifolds on the 351C, 351W, 351H and the 1972 legend of the 351R were all fictional of lob iron.

Type

Two of the 351 engines were untrue in 1969--the 351 Windsor (351W) and the 351H. The 351W was specious for single one year, while the 351H was unreal until 1973. The 351 Cleveland (351C) was untrue from 1970 to 1973, and the Boss 351-HO (351R) was unreal in 1971 and 1972. The exhaust for the 351H was 1.533 to 1.548 inches in thickness, while the exhausts for all the other versions of the 351 were 1.7045 to 1.7145 inches in calibre.


Emission Controls


The emission step for the 351R was a NOx particular in California. The remaining engines had an IMCO action for other U.S. states. Engines used in California had an automatic NOx step.
