Disabled residents of Latest Sweater can operate for a disability licence plate or a disabled parking sticker. Permanent parking permits are issued by the Different Pullover Engine Vehicle Comission (MVC). Impermanent disability placards are issued by the limited police department. You also receive a handicapped ID card to carry with you. Read on to learn more.

Permanent Disability Plates and Placards
1. Ascertain that you qualify as disabled under New Jersey MVC regulations and that the disability can be certified as qualified under the law by your physician.
2. Call the New Jersey MVC at (888) 486-3339 to request the disability permit application Form ISM/SP-41. The form is not available on the MVC website.
Give the application form to your physician to complete the certification on the back.5. Mail the application to the New Jersey MVC at the address on the form. The permanent disability plates and/or placards and handicapped ID card are mailed to you after the application is approved.
3. Complete all of the applicant sections on the front after receiving the application form.4.
Temporary Disability Placard
6. Determine if you qualify as disabled under New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission regulations and that the disability can be certified as qualified under the law by your physician.
7. Go to your local police department to get an application for a temporary disability placard.
8. Complete the applicant portions of the application form.
9. Take the application to your doctor to certify the temporary disability warrants a placard.
10. Submit a completed application form and pay the temporary placard fee at the police department to receive the temporary placard and the ID card.
