Gmc Truck Safety

In 2008, 5,025 occupants of pickup trucks died in traffic accidents according to the Insurance Institution for Highway Safety (IIHS). Crash check scores show how unharmed a vehicle is when you are considering protect yourself on the means.


Tests and Ratings


IIHS testing looks at front, side, rollover and rear crashes. Trucks hire a crash evaluating from first-rate to worst of "choice," "good," "marginal" or "wick" for Everyone crash scheme.


Canyon


The 2010 GMC Canyon Crew Cab ranked fifth among other little pickups by the IIHS. It failed to file a favorable grade in any crash test. It received a good rating for frontal crashes and acceptable for side and rear crashes.



The Canyon graded acceptable for frontal crashes, poor for side crashes and marginal for rollover and rear crashes.

Sierra

For large pickup testing only frontal, side and rear crash tests were scored. The 2010 GMC Sierra 1500 ranked fourth among other large pick ups.
