1961 Cadillac Specifications

Any of the Series 62 contour, 1961 Cadillacs were restyled and re-engineered for the imitation year. The fifth-generation Cadillac DeVilles became confessed as Series 6300 cars. They featured added conservative, downsized tail fins than the flamboyant fins of the 1959 Cadillac.


Engine


The 1961 Cadillac Coupe DeVille, (sub-series 63), featured an overhead valve, 390 cubic inch, valve-in-head diagram, V8 engine with hydraulic valve lifters. The Engine produced 325 horsepower at 4,800 rpm with 430 foot-pounds of torque at 3,100 rpm. Its Muzzle and stroke was 4 inches by 3.8 inches with a compression ratio of 10.5:1.


Chassis


The 1961 Caddie had a entity by Fisher with a four-gear Hydra-Matic automatic transmission.

Dimensions

The 4,715 pound Coupe DeVille was 222 inches long, 79.8 inches wide and 55.8 inches tall with a 129.5 inch wheelbase. It had a front and rear tread of 61 inches.


It featured front independent coil springs with rear link type coil springs. The axle was a semi-floating type with a hypoid differential. A limited-slip differential was offered as an option. The car had integral power steering and 12-inch drum power hydraulic brakes.
