Blop the Gauze Vehicle in a 1999 Jeep Cherokee
The backside of the 1999 Jeep Cherokee's fuel container is exposed to the surface of the ground over which the Jeep travels. Instructions

4. Disconnect the fuel filler hose from the filler neck. The filler hose connects the back of the filler neck, where gas is pumped into the tank, to the side of the tank with a hose clamp. Use a screwdriver to loosen the clamp, then pull the filler hose off of the filler neck.
5. Remove the bolts which hold the tank against the bottom of the Cherokee with a socket wrench. Mounting bolts are located at the back and at the front of the tank.
6. Lower the fuel tank with the floor jack slowly only until the fuel line on the top of the tank can be accessed.
7. Disconnect the fuel line from the gas tank. The fuel line attaches to the gas tank with a plastic fitting, which must be released with a fuel line removal tool, commonly available at automotive retailers.
8. Disconnect the fuel pump's electrical connection. The 1999 Cherokee's fuel pump is located inside the gas tank. A single wiring harness connection leads from the gas tank to the vehicle's main harness. Lift the tab on the side of the connection piece, then pull the connection apart.
9. Remove any fuel from the Gauze container with a siphon pump inserted washed-up the filler neck.2. Jack the back of the Jeep up with a floor jack, then lower it onto safety stands.
