Install An Exhaust Tip

There are four regular types of exhaust tips that attach to tailpipes. The type of gratuity you choose Testament dictate how elementary or challenging it is to employ. Interpret the instructions or Stare at the gratuity's inlet to ascertain whether you can attach the gratuity yourself.

Instructions

1. Peep the exhaust gratuity's inlet. Provided dimples are commenced on the inlet purpose of the gratuity, pound the tip on gently with a rubber mallet until the outlet is flush with the outlet of the tailpipe. This type of tip is generally made of chrome, and is found on smaller tail pipes.

2. Tighten the screws located on the inlet of the tip. Tighten the clamp with a ratchet and socket.4. If there are no visible means to affix the tip to the tailpipe, weld the parts together.

Make sure the tip is centered before tightening the screws completely.3. If there is a slotted inlet on the tip, attach it to the tailpipe with a clamp.

This will only work on steel or metal tips (a mig welder would damage a chrome tip).
