Liquid resin is a synthetic fluid that is nearly allied plastic in appearance. It is mixed with hardening agents in trail to build it a solid. While essential resins come from pine and Fir-tree trees, synthetic resins are prepared from fossils. Popular resins are epoxy, silicone and polyester. The hardened coating is used on everything from carved Styrofoam used for event props to autonomous coating for handmade jewellery and distinct Craft projects, such as paintings and collages.
Commercial Uses for Resin

The solidified resins are used to adjust coatings for floors, casings for electronics, lawn furniture, building materials and mould casts.

Resin is regularly used to clear-coat artwork and other crafts.Resin coating is general with artists, craftmakers, home-builders and outdoor furniture makers.Resin is used in residential and commercial interpretation for production garage floors and other types of floor coatings. It is also used as a paver sealer for decorative stones, blocks, and bricks for homes, and as a coating and sealant for decks.
Epoxy
Epoxy resins are used as adhesives and bonding material for materials such as fiberglass, aluminum, steel, wood, and plastics. The epoxy resins are applied with brushes, rollers and squeegees, and are also used to seal and waterproof areas such as ponds and basement walls.
Silicone Molds
Silicone molds are used to make wax models.
Tin silicone, also known as condensation-cure silicone, is a material used as a flexible tear-strength rubber. This silicone is used for casting polyurethane, epoxy, waxes and polyester resins. They are used for pour models for candle making, life-casting such as fingerprints, hands, feet or face, and for making molds for sculptures and wax models.
Polyester Resins
Polyester resins are the most commonly used of all resins. They are made of highly flammable and toxic fossil sources and should be used with gloves and a respirator to protect yourself from fumes. Polyester resins are used with fiberglass, over urethane foam and other core or basic building and coating materials. Polyester resins are more brittle than epoxies. Other types of resins are acrylics and thermoset. Thermoset is a relatively new biodegradable and less toxic resin that could replace fossil source resins.
