Place A Lining Inside A Motorcycle Helmet

3. Replace the foam. Sometimes the foam will dry out and age the liner. Use 3M general trim adhesive to glue a 5-inch round, 1/2-inch thick piece of foam into the top of the helmet. Let it set for at least 5 minutes before putting the liner in.


4. Center the new liner over the helmet. Push the liner in and snap or Velcro it into place. Smooth out any wrinkles. The motorcycle helmet liner material is hypo-allergenic. If the liner isn't torn, it can be taken out and put in the washing machine. Put a 1/2" rubber molding around the outside of the helmet to hold the liner in place. This also gives the helmet a decorative look.
