The Nissan Pathfinder prides itself as a sport function vehicle on its request to "Motor lorry persons." Produced between 1989 and 1995, the Motor lorry was offered with four contradistinctive engines. The procedure for removing and installing the intake manifold in the Z24i and KA24E is the duplicate and easily undertaken by a do-it-yourself mechanic.
Instructions
Remove the Intake Manifold
1. Help the power in the fuel development and empty the coolant (gaze Warnings). Disconnect the contrary battery cable.
2. Remove the hoses to the air cleaner. Disconnect the radiator hoses from the manifold, then remove the throttle cable and disconnect the fuel pipe and the repay wrinkle.
3. Classify all wires, hoses and connections with masking tape. Honour the connexion with the alike character as the hose or wire to be disconnected, then match them succeeding when reconnecting.
10. Refill the cooling system with the proper type and amount of coolant. Connect the negative battery cable.
5. Loose the bolts to the manifold and then remove them. Lift the manifold with the injectors from the engine.
Install the Intake Manifold
6. Disinfected the gasket mounting surfaces thoroughly using compressed air and solvent. Install a distinct gasket and then locate the manifold in habitat on the engine.
7. Tighten the mounting bolts working from the centre elsewhere in a criss-cross device. Appropriateness diverse passes to tighten the bolts to 12 to 15 foot pounds.
8. Connect all electrical lines and vacuum tubes, including the EGR and PCV tubes to the back side of the manifold. Locate the intake manifold supports in community.
9. Install the throttle cable after reconnecting the fuel tube and return line. Connect the radiator hoses to the manifold and install the air cleaner hoses.
4. Remove the GGR and PCV tube from the back side of the intake manifold. Remove the manifold supports.
11. Start the engine. Examine all the connections for fuel, oil or vacuum leaks.
