Chevrolet Silverado Window Regulator Installation

Installing a dewy window regulator in your Chevy Silverado's door is the impression whether the window glass won't roll up or down properly. Removal

7. Remove the fasteners for the window regulator with a wrench or screwdriver as needed and unplug the electrical connector (power windows only). Push the regulator's two guides together and withdraw the collapsed assembly through an access hole.


Installation


8. Collapse the window regulator so its two guides line up side by side. Insert the regulator into the door through the access hole, slide the guides apart so they are at their mounting holes and apply the mounting fasteners with your wrench/screwdriver.


9. Connect the electrical connector for the regulator motor, if needed.


10. Slide the window glass down into the door through the slot below the window's main opening, slide it into the channels of the window regulator and tighten the bolts securing the glass within the channels using your wrench.


11. Cover the slot in the door with its inner seal, if needed, making sure the seal connects to the pinch weld.


12. Connect the inner trim panel to the door, making sure its clips engage and applying all its screws with your screwdriver. Connect all the trim bezels to the door panel, including the screw cover caps.


13. Attach the manual window crank with its retaining clip or connect the electrical connector for the power window controls and attach the control switch plate to the door panel.


14. Reconnect the battery cable.
