Alter The Coolant Sensor & Antifreeze Inside A 1999 Saturn

Copper the Coolant Sensor & Antifreeze in a 1999 Saturn

The 1999 representation Saturn came equipped with a coolant sensor, whose aspiration was to relay data approximately the coolant’s temperature to the instrument panel. The sensor was mounted on the engine, at the mark where the coolant enters the engine from the radiator. A malicious sensor should be replaced as soon as moderately imaginable in succession to avoid plausible engine damage when the temperature of the antifreeze becomes as well altitudinous. It is too recommended to silver the antifreeze after changing the sensor.

Instructions

1. Acquiesce the engine to biting for at least two hours (provided it has recently been running), then remove the radiator cap.

2. Remove the bolt located at the backside of the driver’s side of the radiator with a wrench to bleed the antifreeze, then tighten the bolt back into the radiator, to avoid loosing it.

3. Unplug the wiring harness from the gratuity of the coolant sensor.

4. Turn the coolant sensor in a counterclockwise order, using a wrench, until it detaches from the engine.

5. Inauguration the engine and contemplate the fluid commensurate in the radiator. After several minutes, the engine’s thermostat will open and the fluid level will drop.11. Pour the antifreeze and water mixture into the radiator until the radiator is full, then tighten the radiator cap onto the radiator and turn the engine off.

7. Plug the wiring harness onto the gratuity of the coolant sensor.

8. Pour one gallon of full-strength antifreeze and one gallon of dilute into the corresponding container.

9. Pour the antifreeze and irrigate mix into the radiator until the radiator is plentiful.

10. Coat the threads of the replacement coolant sensor with gasket sealer.6. Turn the sensor in a clockwise trail into the engine with a torque wrench to 89 inch-pounds of torque.
