Instructions On Use A Strut Tower On The 2000 Mustang Gt

The 2000 Mustang GT uses McPherson Type struts on its front suspension. This type of strut makes up atom of the machine's steering meeting, with the damper acting as the upper steering spindle. Provided you are noticing your Mustang is riding rougher and not handling further, the struts may be to blame. You can invest in the odd strut or an unabridged meeting. The odd strut is cheaper, nevertheless it's easier to modify an intact meeting.

Instructions

Removal

Allot the mounting bracket attached to the strut meeting that holds the brake wrinkle. Remove the kernel and detach the bracket. Cars not equipped with ABS Testament not annex this.

2. Handle a socket wrench to remove the centre bolts from the brake caliper drive pins and pull the pins away of the caliper. Pull the caliper off the rotor and secure it elsewhere of the groove with a quantity of wire. Be careful not to damage the brake hose.

3. Administer the hood and remove the three nuts that attach the strut meeting to the van's frame.

5. Set the two enormous bolts that attach the strut to the spindle and remove the nuts with a socket wrench.
