Switch The Battery On The 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer

The battery in a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer is a side-post-style battery. The battery leads are attached to side of the battery with two metric steel bolts. These bolts pass over the centre of the leads and screw into the battery terminals. The battery is located in the front-right corner of the engine, honorable last the Chauffeur's side headlamp. A insufficient protective shell covers the battery in progression to protect it from dust and debris. Replacement batteries can be purchased from Car parts stores, Habitual Motors dealerships and automotive recovery yards.


Instructions


1. Select the battery with two hands and lift it up and outside of the engine bay. Fix the modern battery in the tray. Reinstall the hold-down wedge and its accompanying bolt, reconnect the battery leads, reinstall the protective plastic shell and originate the engine to verify that the battery operates properly.


Unscrew the bolts securing the battery leads by using an 8 mm box-end wrench. Remove the battery leads from the battery. Remove any corrosion from the battery leads using a wire brush.


3. Remove the bolt securing the battery hold-down wedge to the backside of the battery tray using a 3/8-inch ratchet, 13 mm socket and a 10-inch ratchet space. Remove the battery hold-down wedge from the tray.


4. Shut down the engine and distance the Trailblazer's transmission in grounds. Utilize the emergency brake, pull the hood Proceeds lever and exposed the hood.2. Remove the protective plastic shell covering the battery by pulling it straight up and off.
