Missouri Condition Laws and regulations On Salvage Yards

Missouri salavage yards must be clouded from landscape by a fence or wall.


The rules handle to all junkyards, defined as craft establishments operated for the storing, buying and selling of junk or for operating an Car graveyard. Junk is defined as "ancient or scrapped copper, brass, rope, rags, bottles, paper, trash, rubber debris, fritter, or junk dismantled or wrecked automobiles or parts of those automobiles, iron, steel and other decrepit or scrap ferrous or nonferrous info."

The Missouri Branch of Transportation has framed rules for the licensing and rule of reclamation yards, or junk yards as they are called in the rules. Applicability



The rules stipulate that no junkyard shall be operated within 1,000 feet of the conscientious of course for any interstate or primary highway without obtaining a valid license. The license must be prominently displayed on the premises of the junkyard.


Licensing Conditions


If the salvage yard has met all other conditions, a license will be issued by the Missouri Department of Transportation if the salvage yard is screened by trees or a wall, such that it is not visible from the nearest highway and is located in an area zoned for industrial use.
