Change a Tail Glowing Bulb in a 2005 Jetta

3. Locate the light tray, which contains two tabs on both sides that hold it in place. Apply light pressure on the tabs to release the tray. Release the bulb you want to replace by twisting it counterclockwise.



2. Regulate the Timber. On the side panel door in the Timber, there are two circular locking devices that resemble dials. Turn the locks to unfasten the panel door and access the tail light assembly.


Instructions

1. Turn off the ignition and cause confident the parking brake is busy for safety reasons. Set the bulb aside.


4. Insert the new bulb into the tray by turning it clockwise. Slide the light tray back and let the tabs fasten it into place. Reposition the side panel door and fasten it into place by turning the locking devices.


5. Sit in the driver's seat and press your foot on the the brake to test the new tail light. You may need the help of a friend to determine if the light is working properly.
