Replace An Urban Area & Country Window Motor

The Chrysler Town & Territory minivan uses motorized window regulators for function windows. The motors meshed with the regulator can wear elsewhere or incline damaged, and can catch the standard backyard mechanic approximately 30 minutes to transform.

Instructions

1. Remove the door panel by turning the interior door handle screws counterclockwise with the screwdriver, then turning the armrest bolts counterclockwise with the ratchet and socket. Pull the door panel from the metal by starting at one corner and working the panel from the pop rivets individually. The plastic pop rivets can be brittle and may require replacement. Place the panel aside, away from the work area.

The switches hog tabs on the sides that Testament disengage from the door panel opening. Pull the adapter plugs apart with your hands to disconnect the meeting from the wiring harness.

3. Disconnect the battery terminals by turning the terminal bolts in a counterclockwise circuit with a ratchet and socket. Establish the terminals aside so they don't touch the battery.2. Remove the endowment window switch meeting by prying one corner up with a screwdriver and pulling the meeting elsewhere of the door panel.

4. Disconnect the power motor from the wiring harness by pulling the adapter plug apart with your hands.

5. Remove the motor by turning the mount bolts counterclockwise with the ratchet and socket, then pulling the motor straight out from the window regulator gears. Position a new motor into the gears, then secure the mount bolts by turning them clockwise until they are snug. Press the adapter plug together to reconnect the motor to the wiring harness.

6. Replace the door panel by pressing it onto the pop rivets with a firm tap of your hand at each rivet location. Turn the armrest bolts and interior door handle screws clockwise until they are snug.

7. Replace the window switch assembly by pressing the adapter plugs together and popping the assembly into the panel opening. The assembly will seat itself and stay in the panel.

8. Reconnect the battery by turning the terminal bolts in a clockwise direction.
