1. Remove the air cleaner from the top of the carburetor, and unfasten the retaining screws at the base of the carburetor choke with a screwdriver so you can move the choke rod.


2. Secure the retaining screws with a screwdriver so the choke is in the correct position, and reattach the air cleaner to the top of the carburetor.


Move the choke rod until the choke plate inside the carburetor barrel just touches the inside of the barrel. If you are setting a carburetor choke with a rod on the exterior of the carburetor, bend the rod gently to obtain the proper setting.3.
